Special Attractions of Festival 2009
Since Blues Music initially started out from bars, the Himalayan Blues Festival 2009 will include many bars as its host. The other special venues will include Garden of dreams and Patan Museum. The Garden of Dreams event will be a tribute to Daniel Pearl in association with the U.S Embassy. The Documentary about the Himalayan Blues Festival is also being made by a New Zealand based film maker named Costa Botes. He documented the making of Peter Jackson’s epic trilogy Lord of the Rings trilogy from 1999 to 2003. The three feature length documentaries that resulted were released by New Line Cinema in a limited edition DVD box set in 2006.
