The Blues Society on Taiwan is dedicated to promoting an appreciation of the Blues.
The immediate goal of the Society is to foster a sense of Community for all those individuals who share a passion for the Blues and/or for the many genres of music based on the Blues - Jazz, R&B, Blue-grass & Rock & Roll.
The Society should then be able to represent and serve the Community by
1) organizing and promoting Blues-based music events
2) sponsoring workshops, seminars and other educational events on the performance, history and influence of the Blues
3) encouraging shops to carry a wider selection of Blues and Jazz recordings
4) advocating the inclusion of Blues, Jazz, R&B and other related music forms in radio play-lists
5) facilitating the creation of a vibrant network of musicians who play the Blues and
6) inspiring young musicians to play the Blues.
