Darwin's, one mile south of the Big Chicken on Roswell Road in Marietta (you know you're in Marietta when you measure everything from the Big Chicken,) is a small, friendly blues club where everyone feels welcome and the music is always live! Reviewers online say the food is good, the beer is cold, the staff is fast and friendly, and the music is hot!

As if that was not enough, a talk with the owner at the Atlanta Blues Society picnic reveals that Darwin's has a ghost! It's been Darwin's since 1999, but before that it was Kelly's, and apparently, Kelly still comes around from time to time."Weird things happen all the time," I was told. And to me, with my love of the blues and of ghosts, that just makes it perfect. Wish I had known about this when I was writing my book, Haunted Marietta!

I can't gurantee that you'll encounter the ghost (and for some of you that might sound like a good thing, ) but I can guarantee you'll hear live blues, and that's special enough outside the Perimeter! Wednesday nights are jam nights, and the music keeps playing live six nights a week.

So check out Darwin's. Ghost or no ghost, it's worth a visit!
