The Skylight presents Blues in the Night, a steamy musical interweaving the stories of three unforgettable women and their relationships with the same cheating man.

Set in 1938 at a seedy Chicago hotel on the deserted corner of Wilson and Broadway, the production conceived by Sheldon Epps, sizzles with the best blues music from the1920s and 1930s.

This story of love and abandonment is told through 26 hot and torchy songs including "Taking a Chance on Love," "Lover Man," "I Gotta Right to Sing the Blues," "Stompin at the Savoy," "Blues in the Night," and more by famous artists such as Bessie Smith, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Harold Arlen, Alberta Hunter, Jimmy Cox, Ida Cox and other giants of blues and jazz.

Blues in the Night takes to the stage at The Skylight's Cabot Theatre - a replication of an 18th-century European opera house - from March 13 through April 5, 2009.
