In less than a week, spring will be officially here. As the flowers burst into bloom,the Variety Playhouse on Euclid Ave. in Atlanta is going to be bursting with blues, with 5 great shows in April and May!

April 1st finds Atlanta favorite Delbert McClinton playing there.

April 17th, The Taj Mahal trio brings its blend of blues, and world music to the Playhouse.

On April 28th, at 8 PM, it's John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers! At various times, Mayall's original band contained the careers of Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie, and Mick Taylor, among others. He's a legend in his own right, and has been for decades. Don't miss this chance to see the new band.

Along with May flowers, May 1st brings the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, who have been described as a blues band with a punk attitude!

Also , on May 7th, The Wood Brothers will perform. Oliver Wood lives in Atlanta and performs around town often, but it is special when he gets together with his brother Chris to blend blues, folk and rock and roll.

Lots of other things will be happening around town as the weather warms up, but keep these dates in mind so that you don't miss the great shows at The Variety Playhouse this spring!
